Santa Ana, August 25, 2010 – Foothill High School is hosting their 2nd Annual Queens Court Volleyball Tournament at the American Sports Center (ASC) in Anaheim, this Saturday and Sunday, August 28th and 29th.  Over 100 girls high school volleyball teams have registered for the tournament, including Southern California’s top ranked schools, and will be competing for the Crown trophy.  Teams will be traveling from as far away as Santa Barbara to compete in this pre-season, non-CIF event.  Sponsors include Smack Sportswear, Athletic Republic, Molten, Dig Pink, Cabe Toyota and The Road to Safety Advanced Driving School.

ASC, the largest indoor court facility in the U.S., serves as the weekday home to numerous club volleyball, basketball, soccer, and gymnastic programs. On the weekends ASC hosts basketball and volleyball tournaments, adult leagues, and special events throughout the year. In addition several prominent national and international sports organizations including the USA Men’s and Women’s National Volleyball team are headquartered in the complex, as well.

Tournament play begins at 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and is open to the public.  There is a $3 admission charge of which $1 is donated to Dig Pink, the organization established by the Side-Out Foundation to raise funds for breast cancer research and entities dedicated to providing compassionate support to breast cancer patients and their families.
